Plug & Play Hero 5,6,7 Wired Control

It’s here! The eagerly anticipated plug and play Wired Control system for all hero 5,6,7 models! We have put a huge amount of time into developing this so that customers around the world no longer have to send these camera models to us. We send you a completely plug and play solution!

We send you everything you need to start recording via Wired Control. Simply put your camera into the housing that we send you, and control it via the push button. Video example in the product images.

Are you fed up of not being able to reach your camera? Fed up of missing footage, or recording the colletion area and pit lane? If so, wired control is the solution for you! Our kit puts you in complete control of the camera from the drivers seat! Push the wired control button and the camera turns on and starts recording. Push again and the camera turns off!

Two versions are available in the drop down.

1 – battery operated. 4 x AA batteries. This will last for multiple events on a set of batteries, but you must turn the battery pack off when not using the car, or the batteries will gradually drain

2 – hardwired to the cars 12v power. If you’re racing, rallying, doing trackdays etc then this is our recommendation. A simple connection to the cars 12v power and the wired control system is available whenever you need it!

This will completely change the way you’re using your GoPro onboard. No more messing around or wasted footage. You are in complete control from the dash!

This kit turns the camera on and starts the recording from one push of the wired control button. Push the button again and the camera turns off. Perfect for handling red flag sessions/pit lane queues/stage starts etc. You will only record the action! Make sure the next time you’re strapped in the car, you can control the camera yourself!

This system has a programmed computer inside to ensure it activates your GoPro when you push the button. It is intelligent. Holding the wired control button down for example will not push the control arm into your GoPro repeatedly, or hard.

Default included cable length with the push button is 2.5m.

This does not modify your camera in any way. We have a similar item in our store where we add Wired Control to your camera permanently. This requires you to send us your camera. If you’d rather have the permanent modification, order this item. The advantage of this plug and play kit is that you do not have to send your camera into us. We send you a complete solution.

An LED status light to mount next to the push button is available as a seperate item in our store.

A 12v direct power kit to keep the camera powered, and forget about batterties inside the camera is also available as a seperate item in our store.
